MediaMotos offers a comprehensive training program for camera operators interested in learning to film from a motorcycle with our experienced team. Our program involves a blend of technical instruction, safety protocols, legal compliance and practical experience which can effectively prepare camera operators to film from motorcycles while prioritising safety and professionalism.

Technical Skills Development
We provide instruction on camera equipment commonly used for in motion filming, including cameras and the use of Canon HJ15 stabilised lenses for capturing footage on the move. Our course offers the opportunity for the camera operator to practice camera operation, focusing techniques, exposure control, framing while in motion and best practices for adjusting camera settings to accommodate different lighting conditions, speeds, and shooting angles.
Safety Training
Comprehensive safety training covering motorcycle and tracking vehicle operation, riding techniques, and common traffic laws and regulations in relation to filming in various shooting locations around the world. The course covers helmets, protective clothing, and an understanding of safety whilst in motion.
Tracking and Filming Techniques:
We introduce tracking techniques specific to filming, such as maintaining a consistent speed, maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles, and navigating various road conditions. We demonstrate effective ways to position and stabilise the camera while riding to achieve steady, clear footage.
We teach strategies for capturing dynamic shots, including tracking shots, panning, and tilting, while maintaining safety and adhering to traffic regulations.
Scenario-Based Training
provide opportunities for camera operators to practice filming from tracking vehicles in different settings, such as urban streets, highways and major roads at both slow and high speeds.
We introduce challenges and obstacles to simulate common filming scenarios, such as following a moving subject, capturing action sequences, or filming in adverse weather conditions.
Collaborative Training
Emphasize the importance of collaboration and communication between camera operators and tracking vehicle pilots to ensure safety and achieve desired shots.
We facilitate joint training sessions where camera operators work closely with experienced motorcycle pilots to refine their skills and coordinate filming techniques and encourage constructive feedback and peer learning to promote continuous improvement among participants.
